HUGHES WILL REVIEW MACHEDA TWEET

QPR manager Mark Hughes has said that he will be looking at the tweet made by QPR striker Federico Macheda after the match against Everton recently. Federico Macheda made an abusive comment after being left out of the squad that was set to face Everton.

QPR came into the match against Everton knowing that they should make use of their home matches much better than they have done in recent past. However, manager Mark Hughes was coming under intense pressure after failing to change the fortunes of the club after arriving at the start of the January transfer window and spending heavily to spice up the team.

Mark Hughes has only two wins out of the eight matches he has been manager of QPR. This abysmal record would have provided Everton with a major hope of getting something from the fixture at Loftus Road. However, they were disappointed as QPR managed to come into the match and claimed a credible draw. Federico Macheda was not part of the QPR side that took on Everton at the Loftus Road.

Following the 1-1 draw which saw QPR drift out to as much as 20/1 to win on the best in-play betting odds, Federico Macheda made the tweet that said that he was extremely disappointed not to be part of the squad in a very abusive language.

“What is he talking about? Perhaps he has broken a watch or dropped his phone. Who knows what he has done. You’re assuming it is about the game and not being involved. Until I speak to him I can’t really comment, can I? Well, when I know it is I will come back and talk about it, but I can’t talk about it because that is the first I’ve heard about it,” Mark Hughes said after confirming the fact that the tweet made by Federico Macheda would be investigated by the club internally.
