There was a time when Federico Macheda was hailed as being one of the brightest players to emerge from the youth academy of Manchester United. The Italian attacker made so many top performances with the Under-18 side that the club decided to offer him a professional contract when he was only 17 years old.
After having signed his first professional contract with Manchester United, Macheda was getting limited playing time with the Premier League as he was mostly serving as a substitute player and this is why he opted to join a number of different clubs with hopes of gaining more experience outside of Old Trafford.
Sampdoria, Queens Park Rangers, Stuttgart, Doncaster Rover, Birminham City are all of the clubs that Macheda joined on loan deals before eventually going on to sign a permanent deal with Cardiff City.
Macheda’s time in Cardiff City might be reaching it’s end as the head coach of the English club, Russell Slade is believed to be interested in letting the Italian forward go in the winter transfer window after failing to make any impressive performance.
Along with Federico Macheda, Alex Revell is another player who has not made any kind of impact in Cardiff City and the English forward is also rumored to be on his way out of the club after failing to impress the head coach Russell Slade.
Federico Macheda had to undergo a surgery in order to resolve a back problem that he was suffering; this made him unable to play for a considerable long time but even when the Italian attacker has been available to play fully recovered, his time in the pitch seems to be non-existant and his future is being linked with a move away from Cardiff City and the question that lies is where will he join if he leaves the English League Championship club?
