Aston Villa are said to be interested in signing Club Brugge midfielder Marvelous Nakamba according to reports from Belgium. The Villans have been the highest spenders in the Premier League so far as they have spent over £100 million on 10 players this summer.
Club Brugge are said to have refused an initial offer which enraged the player. Nakamba is said to be trying to force a move away from the club and has refused to return to training. Club Brugge are demanding a transfer fee of £13 million for the player but Aston Villa value the player at around £10 million.
Villa have signed two players from the Belgium club already including record signing Wesley Moraes and Nakamba is looking to join his teammate at Villa Park. From the reports both teams are confident of reaching an agreement in the coming days. Meanwhile Club Bruggeare thought to be weighing a move for former Manchester United forward Federico Macheda.
The Belgium club are looking to replace forward Wesley Moraes who joined Aston Villa for a transfer fee of £25 million. Macheda has been able to resuscitate his career in recent years after spells at native club Novara before making a move to Greek side Panathinaikos.
Hus stock has increased since joining the Greek side last summer and Club Bruggeare thought to weighing a move for the player. A transfer fee of £5 million has been touted as being sufficient for the Panathinaikos to sell. It remains to be seen whether a move would materialize for the 28 year old.
